​​This 4-week advanced audition class is tailored for actors with experience in guest stars, recurring, and series regular roles. Each session is designed to help you refine your craft and build confidence through targeted practice.

Material Selection: 

Work with scenes chosen specifically for you, allowing you to focus on roles that align with your strengths while also challenging your range.

​Live Feedback:
Receive direct and actionable feedback from Christy Faison, an industry expert with extensive casting experience in pilots for CBS, Starz, and HBO.

​Real-Time Adjustments:
Practice making quick adjustments based on feedback to simulate real casting scenarios, ensuring you're ready for any audition situation.

​Self-Tape & Live Virtual Auditions:
Cover all bases by practicing both self-tape and live audition formats.

  • Dates: Oct 16th - Nov 6th

  • Time: 6:30 - 8:30 PM (EST) / 3:30 - 5:30 PM (PST)

  • Cost: $285 for 4 weeks

Class Breakdown:

  • Week 1: Self-tape techniques with in-depth review and feedback.

  • Week 2: Re-tape review, followed by a live audition using a new scene to build confidence and adaptability.

  • Week 3: Continued self-tape feedback paired with live takes, incorporating notes from previous sessions.

  • Week 4: An authentic live “mock” audition with guest instructor Kathleen Parker, applying everything you've learned.

 

Joining us in the final week is Kathleen Parker, who will guide you through a mock audition, putting everything you’ve learned into practice. Kathleen’s recent credits include Physical (Apple TV), Grand Crew (NBC), and Homecoming (Amazon), along with films like Leave the World Behind and X-Men.

Christy Faison is an acting coach and Casting Director with a passion for helping actors elevate their craft and grow in their careers.

 

​As a Casting Director, she co-cast series and pilots for NBC, CBS, and Showtime, including Jonathan Demme’s A Gifted Man, CBS’s SEAL Team, NBC’s The Cape, and Showtime’s The Affair. Her credits also include Aaron Sorkin’s The Newsroom, Ash vs Evil Dead, The Spoils Before Dying, Boss, and Terrence Malick’s Knight of Cups. She also cast the Emmy-nominated series Conversations In LA, The Walking Dead: Red Machete, Stargate Origins, and dozens of independent features. As an Associate, Christy collaborated with esteemed Casting Directors Jeanie Bacharach, Lauren Grey, and Gillian O’Neill.

 

Christy’s extensive casting experience has shaped her into a coach who knows exactly what it takes to succeed in the room. With a keen eye for performance nuances and an instinct for identifying areas that need refinement, she provides actors with precise, actionable feedback that transforms their work. 

 

Christy teaches and coaches actors in Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, New Zealand, and as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Texas. She offers both group classes and private coaching, specializing in audition prep, on-set coaching, and career consulting.
